Rape Victim Kills Herself In UP's Sambhal District | English News | Latest News

A 15-year-old rape victim from Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district  is alleged to have committed suicide. The UP police have arrested one of the accused, but the other three have yet to be apprehended. The rape victim's family has claimed that they have been under constant pressure to drop the case. According to family members, "the police also threatened us and blamed our daughter for the misfortune, claiming that she was to blame. We demand justice."  The accused is also alleged of bribing the police with 2-3 lakh rupees, according to the family. The family has also asked earlier to transfer the case to other police station and changing of the investigationg officer.
