Good morning, Fernald Preserve! The sun rises over the first of several wildlife observation overlooks as you drive into LM's 1,050-acre, ecologically restored Fernald Preserve in southwest Ohio. A 1.4-mile walking trail flanks the Lodge Pond at this popular wildlife viewing spot. Visitors can watch white-tailed deer, great blue herons, northern harriers, eastern bluebirds, and other wild creatures enjoying these natural areas. The restored areas at the Fernald Preserve are a form of beneficial reuse of the former Feed Materials Production Center.
