LOTS OF FISH!! - CHURCHILL RIVER FISHING ADVENTURE

Описание к видео LOTS OF FISH!! - CHURCHILL RIVER FISHING ADVENTURE

I fulfilled a lifelong dream to fish the majestic, historical Churchill River in Northern Saskatchewan! It took a lot to get there, totalled off a vehicle on the way (that's a story for another time). I took a week of fishing, filmed 95% of it, and condensed it down into just the most exciting parts. We catch our limit of walleye aka pickerel and northern pike. FYI, I use the term walleye/pickerel/sauger, even though sauger are closer to the perch family. Northern Pike area also called jacks and hammer handles, based on their handle-like shape. We also call them a number of other things you will see in the video. Lived in a recently gutted and rebuilt camper that you can see in my other videos on this channel! We have complete solar power setup with a wood burning stove. It was very comfortable.

A good amount of laughs, some great exercise, and the best scenery in the world. You get to watch some filleting and a shore lunch being cooked up!! Remember don't take life to serious, and if you focus on nature, you can live a happy life!

The Churchill River is a major river in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada. From the head of the Churchill Lake it is 1,609 kilometres (1,000 mi) long. It was named after John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and governor of the Hudson's Bay Company from 1685 to 1691. The Cree name for the river is Missinipi, meaning "big waters". The Denesuline name for the river is des nëdhë́, meaning "Great River."
