Sonic The Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone (80's Metal Cover)

GOTTA GO FAST! Hi fellow viewers, I’m back with another VGM cover. As part of the Sonic franchises 25th anniversary, I did an 80’s Metal/Hard Rock rendition of “Green Hill Zone”, from the 1991 SEGA MegaDrive (Genesis in North America) game Sonic the Hedgehog. It’s a fun song to play from a fun game to play.

I had a lot of fun putting this cover together and I think the overall result is great. To enhance that 80’s rock tone I was after I added a chorus effect on the lead guitar which I hadn’t done on my previous recordings but in my opinion works very nicely in this cover.
