What if feeling was part of male friendship?
What if saying words like "I feel mad, sad, glad, scared... because...' formed the basis for how men interacted?
What if holding space for each other to break down and become real, to admit 'I don't know,' was a normal part of the game of male friendship?
What if you could say to one of your friends, 'Hey man, I need a listening space. I need a space where I can speak, and unfold what is in my heart. Will you hold that space for me?' and the answer was 'yes' and the only question asked was 'when?'

What if your male friends were interested in your dreams and visions, and you in theirs? Interested enough that they asked you questions, interviewed you, called you up in the middle of the week to say, 'Hey, how is that going? Can I be on your team? Do you need anything from me?'

What if there was no challenge too small that you couldn't bring it to a trusted group of men to help you navigate it?

What if you were so committed to your male friends that when you saw them denigrating themselves or lost in addictions or doing or saying diminishing things about themselves or about women—that it was normal that you would make the courageous move to interfere and say, 'Hey! Stop! What is going on?'

What if men could hold and touch each other in healing, love, and affection, without the worry that they might suddenly turn gay?

What if you and your male friends were committed to waking each other up about your unconsciousness? What if part of friendship included you training each other to skill up in domestic tasks and grunt work, to find the delight in changing tires, cooking wild meals, arranging flowers, budgeting, doing laundry, making beds, holding babies, knowing what you are looking at when you are looking at an engine, leaving the bathroom spotless, planting gardens, entertaining children, leading partner dance?

What if Men's Night didn't revolve around sports games, alcohol, or nostalgia... but rather around presence and intimacy?

What if it was normal from time to time for a group of men to gather around one man who'd fallen, and be at his side, empowering him to stand up again?

What if when people asked you about your male friendships, the words that came out of your mouth were 'committed,' 'devoted,' 'ecstatic,' and the like?

What if being tough was no longer part of the program? Or being an expert? Or knowing? Or being the best? Or being better than?

What if men held space for other men to go through initiations, like cutting the cord with mom, getting their balls and spine back, leaving the linear life plan, living without money, becoming their Bright Principles in action, preparing themselves to jack-in to their Archetypal Lineage, getting their sensitivity back, transforming their Gremlin so that it was at their side in service, exiting Patriarchy?

This is the culture we will be discovering and inventing (there is no roadmap...) during the Expand the Box for Men: Extended. And, we begin NOW, in this WorkTalk. All men are welcome.
