Gon Bops Alex Acuna Signature Cajon Review by Sweetwater

Hi everybody, today we're trying out the Gon Bops Alex Acuna Signature Cajon. It's a traditional Peruvian cajon with Peruvian mohena hardwood construction, precision dovetailed corners, lacquer finish, and even a gig bag.

This cajon actually uses guitar strings as internal snare wires. I haven't adjusted this drum for the video, but you can adjust the frontplate to control how much snap and brightness you get from the wires. I was pleased to find that there isn't any snare buzz with this drum - you hear the snares when you play the corners of the drum, with no buzzing when you play lower on the frontplate.
