VermiBag Vermicomposting 101 Part 3 "The Bedding"

This is part 3 of the Vermicomposting 101 Series. This video will should you how to make great worm bedding for your worm farm that I guarantee you worms will love. "How to make Great Worm Bedding"

Bedding is one of the most important things in your worm bag. This is the median that the worms live in. If you don't give them a nice place to live....they are going to try to escape. This bedding is made up from approx the following amounts....did I say APPROX..??? I meant it.

20% coco Coir (or use manure if you have it....)
20% Shredded white paper
20% Shredded Newspaper
20% Shredded Cardboard
10% Existing castings or compost...or just garden soil
5% other things....coffee, alfalfa meal (or grass) egg shells...napkins....cereal boxes....ect ect

if you wanted to use 100% shredded cardboard...the worms would love you....but I have a ton of white paper...so I use it...but....honestly use what ever you have available...
