Preservation work of carpet script writing in full swing at IICT Srinagar

The preservation work of centuries-old carpet script writing is in full swing at the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT) in Srinagar. It is also known as ‘Taleem’. Kashmiri carpets are very famous across the world due to their purity and unique handwork done by artisans of the valley. It also attracted visitors during peak of the season. But due to modernisation and overall technology, everything is changing which results in the Kashmiri art industry also doing different things to promote this art and keeping it alive for future generations.
