[Kirby: Canvas Curse/Kirby: Power Paintbrush Remix] "Sorrow of Paintings" Drawcia Sorceress Remix

Описание к видео [Kirby: Canvas Curse/Kirby: Power Paintbrush Remix] "Sorrow of Paintings" Drawcia Sorceress Remix

Q: "Why are Paintra and Vividria there???"
A: Would you rather have two characters who weren't in Canvas Curse but are actually connected to Drawcia (by way of being sisters), or some six-ish different gijinka of the SAME character in the background and they have nothing to do with Kirby universe at all? Because the original plan for the keyart was to have portraits of all of my gijinka of Colored Pencils from Origami King, you know. Orange you glad I decided not to do that out of sheer laziness!
Q: "Also you know that's not what Drawcia's painting's frame looks like, right?"
A: Of course it's not what it looks like! I'm too lazy to even trace from the sprite! (more like I couldn't find the sprite to begin with and didn't want to trace from a blurry-ass screenshot)

MIDI used:

- "t_k_41" from VGMusic.com by an unnamed user

SECRET MELODIES:

- "The Royal Theme" (Original)
- "Main Menu" (Kirby 64 & Kirby: Canvas Cure/Kirby: Power Paintbrush)
- "Suite: The Star-Conquering Traveler - Final Movement: Sparkling Star" (Kirby: Star Allies)

THOUGHT PROCESS:

Drawcia is a sorrowful and mysterious character, and I thought that my remix should reflect that. Thankfully that's kind of my entire musical style according to a commenter on my Vellumentals remix video [snarky in the extreme, but ultimately agreeing], so it made picking the instruments an easy task.

Of course this meant picking out pipe organs, they seem to be her main instrument. Three different pipe organ soundfonts, in fact: one of the GeneralUser GS SoftSynth ones, the Touhou one, and the MOTHER 3 one. The rest of the instruments came together around the pipe organs: a harpsichord, pianos, a string section, a choir, bells and chimes...

Though both Drawcia's and Sectonia's themes fit well into my style, there's one thing that Drawcia's vibe is that Sectonia's isn't, and that's the fact that Drawcia is unnatural (as in, she's themed around and born from a painting, which are person-made and not inherent to nature), whereas Sectonia is more natural. I view the more intense portion of Drawcia's theme as a representation of her unnatural/person-made nature, so I added synth basses and NES- and GameBoy-esque soundfonts in the background.

"The Royal Theme" was added not just because it's basically putting my signature on my remixes, but also because Canvas Curse was released in the same year as I was born. The main menu theme from Canvas Curse (and Kirby 64) made it in because it's the main menu theme of the game lmfao.

I legit didn't know what to do for the ending so I just slapped "The Star-Conquering Traveler" (partially because Green Greens represents Kirby, partially because Void shares some moves with Drawcia Soul, and partially because I CAN'T, FUCKING, REMIX, THE ACTUAL SONG, ITSELF. It's too difficult I'm so sorry lmfaoooo. *dies*) in there and added a key change for no reason.
