HOW TO MAKE JAPANESE LEMON SOUR WITH A LITTLE SMILE!
THIS CLASSIC LEMON SOUR IS MADE OF INFUSED VODKA/SHOCHU & LEMON ICE.

As well as whiskey highball in Japan, Lemon sour is the staple Izakaya cocktail that everyone loves.
This lemon sour is definitely one of my favorite daily cocktails at home.

You'll love refreshing yourself to homemade lemon sour in Japanese style, it's an easy drink, so enjoy with care, especially when using vodka.

Make sure to use non-waxed lemons to make infused vodka/Shochu.

If you'd like a little sweetness in this Japanese lemon sour recipe, try my simple lemon syrup.

[Ingredients]
3 Organic non-waxed lemons
2 Cups Vodka *the amount enough to cover all lemon peels
Carbonated water/sparkling water/Club Soda
My lemon syrup *Optional

[Instructions]
1. Wash and rinse lemons well.
2. Remove only the yellow part with a knife or a vegetable peeler.
*The white part makes the liquor bitter.
3. Remove the top and the bottom, and carefully peel off only the topmost layers of lemon skin from top to bottom.
5. You can scrape off the white part from the lemon peel with the knife if needed.
6. Transfer the lemon peels to a clean jar and pour your favorite Vodka.
7. Cover peels completely with the vodka.
8. Close the lid tightly.
9. Allow the lemon to infuse into the vodka in a cool dark place.
*I put it in the refrigerator.
10. You can enjoy lemon-infused vodka from the next day, but I recommend letting it infuse for a minimum of 1 week, and, 3-4 weeks is best.
