Weld repair bracelet swivel clasp

Описание к видео Weld repair bracelet swivel clasp

The swivel part of a clasp was coming out of it's hole in the body of the clasp on a bracelet so it came to me to make it stay in.

To do this I made a ring that the ball end would not fit through, fitted this onto the peg that the ball is on the end of and fitted this ring onto the body of the clasp. I countersunk the ring and welded it into place so that it was secure - it will definitely not come out.

The bracelet and clasp are 9ct red gold so that is what I used to repair it with. I now have a PUK 5 which is great but it makes describing the settings I used more difficult as they are symbols on a screen instead of having names like on the PUK 3S.
The settings for this repair were all on GOLD and the retipping mode (far right of the PUK 5 screen) with the default welding time. For welding the small ring up it was on 14%, for securing the ring onto the clasp 22% and building up needed a bit more power , 26%.
The equivalent settings I would have used on a PUK 3 are GAP 20% /3ms, GAP 20%/6ms and GAP 25%/6ms respectively.
