Today we're going to be taking a look at the car hitch mounted step for two inch trailer hitches. It's going to provide quick and easy access whether it's on your vehicles truck bed or your cargo area or roof rack. The unit will flip up when it's not in use for an unobtrusive look. You can see right here that it says, "My toy" that appears in black print on a nice chrome background, here on the bottom of the step and it's going to show when the step is folded up. The unit is going to offer a sure footing it's got a nice non-slip surface. The unit is designed to slide into your trailer hitch receiver, it's going to a great job at keeping out dirt and grime. It does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock, those items are sold separately, but those are required to secure it to the trailer hitch.

You can find them here at etrailer.com if you're in need of one. The pin holes on the unit will accept a standard five eighth inch diameter pin. It's going to feature a really nice powder coated finish, nice strong aluminum construction. It's very strong and durable as well as resistant towards rust and corrosion. The product is made right here in the USA.

It's designed for a two inch by two inch trailer receiver. The platform dimensions, it's going to give us an overall length of about five inches and then a depth, that's going to measure about two and five eighths of an inch. When the unit's folded up is going to give us and overall width measurement of about five inches still and an overall height measurement top to bottom, looks to be about three and a half inches. The pin holes on the unit are going to be located right here, there's going to be two of them to choose from that way you can choose whatever one gives us the most clearance or works best for your vehicle. Taking a measurement from the back of this piece right here to the center of each pin hole, we're looking at about two and three eighths of an inch and three and one eighths of an inch. The weight capacity on the unit is 650 pounds and it's going to be covered with a limited lifetime warranty.

I want to go ahead and show you how to install it inside of your hitch. Very simple installation process, all you have to do is slide it into the receiver tube. Line up whatever pin hole works best for your application. Secure it with a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Again those items are sold separately and can be found right here at etrailer.com.

The one I'm using for our demonstration today is part number PCS. It's going to come with your standard five eighths diameter pin and it's going to come with a clip. That's going to secure it into the hitch and then when you want to take advantage of that step. All you've got to do is fold that down and that's going to have that nice rugged, texturized surface and it's going to have a capacity of 650 pounds.
