On January 1, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 27th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair 2023. This fair is organized to promote, expand, market and help in production of indigenous products.
This annual business and trade fair, the largest of Bangladesh, is being held for the second time at the permanent venue of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center on the outskirts of the capital, Dhaka. The month-long fair has been organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Development Bureau.
A total of 331 stalls and 17 pavilions have been leased to various local and international organizations this year. 17 institutions from 10 countries are participating in this year's fair. There will be 17 stalls from 10 countries including Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Turkey, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, South Korea. The International Trade Fair opens daily at 10 am and closes at 9 pm. Until 10 pm on public holidays. Tickets are priced at Rs 40 for adults and Rs 20 for children. The government is providing a transport facility to reach the venue. 70 BRTC buses are being deployed for this. These are running from Kuril flyover to Melasthal. These buses can be traveled for a fare of 35 taka. *
BRTC bus service is open every day from 9:30 AM.
BRTC Chairman said, we will try to bring back the last passenger from the fair to Dhaka. Our bus service is available till 11:30 pm. There are plans to operate 150 buses on Fridays.
