IRON MAN HELMET BUILD PART 2 ~ RESIN & FIBERGLASS

In this part I show how to strengthen the Iron Man helmet with polyester resin and fiberglass cloth. I also tell how to adjust crooked parts, dents and uneven areas after the resin has been applied. Check out part 3 where I show the finished fiberglass work & where I also begin to fine tune the detail areas prior to Bondo.

To make your own helmet you will need:
Pepakura Viewer/Designer program
Sharkman's mark VI file of the helmet to import into the Pepakura program
22 pages of 110 pound card stock paper
Xacto knife and scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Fiberglass mat or cloth
Fiberglass resin & hardener
MANY paint brushes (5-6 minimum)
Dremel tool (or other rotary tool)
Sandpaper of various grits
Dust mask and vapor respirator
Bondo or equivalent body filler
Spot putty or finishing glaze
Filler primer, paint and clear coat
