Practice is an expensive part of motorsport. Just transporting your equipment to the track and covering the running costs of the car will amount to thousands of Euros even for a single day out. For that reason, many racing drivers has taken to simulator training, and while it is a huge step forward, Danish motorsport coach Tommy Schröter concludes that most drivers are unable to practice alone:

»It is old news that you need feedback and external input to practice efficiently and keep improving. Any other sport than motorsport does this, but in the most expensive sport in the world, you buy a simulator and practice on your own. No feedback. No coaching. Nothing. And the effect is minimal« says Schröter, who has more than 25 years of experience as a racing driver from karting, single seaters, touring cars and endurance racing.

Founding Baseline Driver Training, Tommy Schröter and his team has been working for more than two years to develop the perfect practicing tool for racing drivers on all levels. Baseline Driver Training is developed with the theory of Deliberate Practice (K. Anders Ericsson & Jerad H. Moxley, 2012) and is made to change the culture of motorsport training.

The first iteration of Baseline Driver Training is focused only on the brake pedal - the single aspect that has the biggest effect on the driver's success. Next up on the roadmap is the throttle, steering and a lot more:
