Extremadura, a picturesque and lesser-known region in Spain, is offering a fantastic opportunity for digital nomads: up to €15,000 in grants to relocate there.

This initiative is designed to attract remote workers, especially those in the tech industry, to boost the local economy and counteract population decline.

The grant is split into two payments over a two-year period, with the first payment being €10,000 for women and young people under 30, or €8,000 for others.

A second payment of €5,000 or €4,000, respectively, follows after two years.

This program is open to both EU and non-EU nationals, although non-EU citizens will need to secure a digital nomad visa before applying. This can be achieved through an existing business, or you can see one up.

Extremadura offers a high quality of life, rich in natural beauty, and modern digital infrastructure with excellent internet coverage, making it an appealing destination for those looking to work remotely from a peaceful and affordable location.
