ABSOLUTE Power Doesn’t Always Corrupt ABSOLUTELY

The watchmaker Jon Osterman and the magician Othinus, both had a taste of godhood at one point in their lives. They were all powerful, they could do anything they wanted, all of creation was at their fingertips. And it corrupted them. Transformed them into people barley recognizable from their old selves. It caused them to do things, horrible things to their fellow man all because they thought they could and why not? Who could stop them. But as it looked like they’d never recover their humanity. They met someone. Humble, kind, a little ordinary. They didn’t show any hatred towards them despite all the terrible things they’ve done. Instead, they preferred to remind them of the humanity they still had left. That maybe, just maybe that absolute power doesn’t always corrupt absolutely.
