How much time do we have is the key to investing in stocks. If we do not know our timeline as to how much time do we have before we need funds or how much time do we have before we run out of energy, it can cost us fortunes.

While we practice all these technical tools and read news about companies, we must understand that if we ran out of time and have to sell securities at the wrong time, it can cost us embarrassing losses. Therefore, we must decide before going into a trade about the time frame, where we will take our profits, or how long before we will cut our losses, or if the price drags for longer than we anticipated, what will be our next step?
