In this video, you’ll learn how to run VPN.CD Level 5 on Tails OS when Tor is blocked: connect the VPN using Unsafe Browser + Console commands, then restore reboot support, and finally set up RDP inside Tor using Remmina (ONION/IP profiles).

1) Prepare Tails

Boot Tails with:

Persistent Storage enabled

Unsafe Browser allowed

Administrator password set

Configure the Persistent Storage features you want to keep.

2) Download VPN keys without Tor (Unsafe Browser)

Open Unsafe Browser, log in to your vpn.cd account, and download your VPN keys.

3) Connect VPN using the “Tor is Blocked” command list

Open the guide page “VPN Connection if Tor is Blocked” and copy all commands under the video.

Open Console and run:

sudo su
(enter your Tails administrator password)

Paste the copied commands and press Enter.

Wait until all required packages are installed.

When OpenVPN requests authorization, enter your vpn.cd account email + password.

Wait for the message confirming a successful VPN connection.

4) Try connecting to Tor again

Now try to connect to the Tor network and check Tor Browser operation.

If Tor connects successfully — continue.

5) Download RDP keys and move to Persistent

Download the RDP keys.

In Downloads, extract the keys archive into a new folder (double-click).

Copy the new folder (example: rdp****) into the Persistent folder.

6) Update OpenVPN so VPN can connect after reboot (important)

Open a new Console window and run:

sudo su
(enter admin password)

apt update && apt upgrade openvpn -y

Wait for updates to complete (may take several minutes).

If prompted, confirm updates by pressing Enter.

When finished — reboot Tails.

7) Connect VPN after reboot (tails.sh)

Boot again with Persistent enabled, Unsafe Browser allowed, and Admin password set.

Open Console and run:

sudo su

cd Persistent

./tails.sh

Enter your vpn.cd email + password when OpenVPN asks.

Wait for the success message and verify network operation.

8) Install Remmina and connect to RDP (ONION)

Open Console and run:

sudo su
(enter admin password)

apt install remmina remmina-plugin-rdp -y

Wait until all required packages are installed.

Open Remmina: Applications → Internet → Remmina

Remmina menu → Import.

In the Persistent folder, import:

AnonymousRD****ONION.rdp

Right-click the connection → Edit → Advanced tab.

Set Connection wait time ms to:

60000 (exact value)

Save → connect → confirm certificate → enter password from pass.txt.

Use Toggle dynamic resolution update to fit your screen.

✅ VPN + Tor + RDP is ready — you may proceed with your work.

Optional: faster RDP profile (IP)

If ONION is slow or doesn’t work, use:

AnonymousRD****_IP.rdp

Edit it and set Connection wait time ms = 60000.

Optional: shared folder for file exchange

Add a shared folder in connection settings (for example: Persistent).
