Born on March 8, 1953, Vasundhara Raje Scindia, the first woman CM of Rajasthan, hails from the Scindia Dynasty. Her Mother Vijaya Raje Scindia was a powerful leader of Janasngh and BJP. Raje won the Vidhansabha election in 1985 from Dholpur Constituency and represented Jhalawar five times in LokSabha. In 2003 and 2013 she was elected as leader of the house and became the Chief Minister. Raje is a member of the royal family of Gwalior and the aunt of Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Raje first became a member of the Rajasthan Assembly in 1985. In 1989, she was elected to the 9th Lok Sabha. Raje was married to Hemant Singh in 1972 but they separated after a year. Her son, Dushyant Singh, is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha. Watch the video for more details.
