The House of Representatives is preparing to vote in the 1.9T stimulus package this week.

The Democratic politicians have given up on trying to negotiate with the Republicans.

President Biden told the Republicans that he is still open to ideas on how to make the stimulus bill better and cheaper. However, this is not relieving the situation in any way.

The resentment between the republican politicians is only intensifying.
Republican representative Steve Scillice called Bidens plan a bail out for liberal states while paying people not to work.

On Sunday, an interviewer asked Steve why the rpeublicans opposed the stimulus package and he responded by saying that we are going to bail out failed states and raise the minimum wage, what does that have to do with the pandemic it should be helping American families who are struggling not bankrupting our children.

Representative Jason Smith referred to Bidens stimulus bill as the wrong bill at the wrong time for all the wrong reasons. He pointed out that half of the money in the stimulus bill wouldnt be spent until next year or later.

The bill allocates 130B for schools but only 5% of the money would be spent this year in 2021.

Some of the money such as the 5B in homeless assistance would not be spent at all in 2021.

Smith says that the democrats plan is full of long term liberal agenda instead of direct relief. This bill will destroy jobs and raise the the cost of living for working class Americans. Smith is talking about the minimum wage.
As of now the $15 minimum wage is in the stimulus bill but it might get thrown out if the Senate Parliamentarian believes that it does not belong there during the Senate review process.

However, Senator Bernie Sanders is confident that it will get approved and that it will remain in the stimulus bill.

Sanders got the opinion from the congressional budget office and their opinion is that the minimum wage is a qualifying item under reconciliation.
Tensions are rising between the Republicans and Democrats in the Senate.
Biden says that the republican politicians should listen to the Republican voters and support the stimulus package.

But the Republican politicians are saying that they are against the stimulus package because the bill is filled with things that do not have to deal with pandemic relief and half the money in the package won’t even be spent this year in 2021.

So the Republicans are continuing to call the package a liberall wishlist agenda from the Democrats.

President Biden has unlocked money for Texas by approving a disaster declaration.

Federal funding will now be released to TX for temporary housing, home repairs and loan to cover uninsured property damage. However, this aid will only be available to 30% of counties in Texas.

The governor is requesting that the declaration covers all 254 counties in Texas.

People in Texas were told to boil water last week because of water contamination. Now, the boil water notice has been lifted in most areas as the water is now safer.

After the power outages and water crisis. People in Texas are left with utility bills as high as 16,000$.

Trump is dropping more hints that he will start his own party and will get back at the leader of the Republicans in the Senate, Mitch McConnel.
A poll shows that 46% of Americans would join Trump's new party. 27% stated that they would stay with the Republicans and the remaining said that they were undecided.

Dr. Facui predicts that Americans will still be wearing masks and social distancing in 2022.
