I'm taking you to the bottom side of Mitchell Dam on the Coosa River in Chilton County, Alabama. This spot is one of my favorite places for fishing and is run by Alabama Power.

This video shows the beauty of the dam's outflow, the impressive natural rock face construction, and reveals why this is one of the best spots to catch large *Striped Bass* and **Catfish**.

*The Big Secret:* The dam's operation creates a perfect environment where *Shad (bait fish)* run along the wall, offering free, live bait that you can net right from the bank! I even caught one of the local fishermen's massive *40 lb Striped Bass* on camera!

I also share a personal memory about losing a special fishing rod here and point out the beautiful natural rock formations and quartz crystals that are exposed when the water is low.
