End of Miivangelion: SSBU Mii Swordfighter Montage

Описание к видео End of Miivangelion: SSBU Mii Swordfighter Montage

I'm excited to present to you all the culmination of my time spent playing Mii Swordfighter! This montage symbolizes the end of my Smash Ultimate career, but in a happy way. If you take anything from this video, let it be the joy of playing Mii Swordfighter. Despite being a massive time sink with little to show for competitively or productively, I did love my time learning the game and pushing the clip meta of this "background character". It's something I feel genuinely proud of. Until next time, take care and have a wonderful day!

Production Notes:
The End of Evangelion parody was just a fun idea I enjoyed thinking about while working long hours in a factory. This year has been very difficult, which might have shown a bit in my Gunner montage. Sometimes I feel disappointment with how it turned out, but other times I'm happy with my creative choices and feel that the montage goes hard. Reguardless, I tried my best to step things up at the end for audio/visual production. With audio, I spent a long time fine tuning multiple drafts with compressors to mitigate the annoying killscreen sounds. They're just very shrill and grating to hear over and over again in my previous montages. I implemented and learned a lot about audio editing for this montage. The reason this montage is public over a month after finishing was because I was insecure about how my video looked on YT due to YT's compression. If you publish at least 1440p, YT uses the VP9 codec. I tried AI upscaling with a waifu2x GUI and the CUNET model, but the video kept turning out too overdefined and off putting in motion. Regular upscalars like the native one in DaVinci Resolve and some FOSS options that had Python dependencies were causing more problems than solutions. But I must mention that I watch most of my videos on mobile. For mobile, 720p with compression almost looks better in a way, it's less for my mind to process. I've noticed sometimes I prefer YT compressed audio as well over source FLACs, it's strange. If anyone wants the source footage for desktop viewing, just DM or @ me on the MSF Discord (link on Smashcords.com).

Future Plans:
Every day that goes by there is less and less free time. Being my age and lacking financial security is pretty miserable, so that's my main priority. I've also spent time with people irl and feel too tired after work to do anything more than maintain myself with cooking and cleaning. Also not in a great living situation, adulthood is very stressful. With Nintendo's recent announcement, that's kind of the final nail in the coffin for my interest in Ultimate. Maybe it's not such a bad thing to look fondly on the fleeting good moments and move on from this game to greener pastures. That being said, I'd like to continue creating content for this channel. A lot of the content I planned to create this year was already made Due to computer specs issues making editing a painful process as well as my external harddrive going from D: to E: for some reason, it's unlikely that I'll even release my in the works projects publicly. If you are curious, they're all available in the playlist "My Unlisted Videos". For now, I just plan to restart my Cat Soup AMV to the song "E40" by SGAP and use my Shinsekai Yori footage that took me weeks to comb through for an AMV to the song "Drowning" by Omnipony. Would love to try more ambitious projects in the future, but will spend next year finding better work/place to live/PC build/sever build/NAS build/IDE comfort/cooking and cleaning workflow/etc..
