the storyline is pretty easy;
katherine and elena actually hated each other, but over the years they kinda started feeling this burning desire inside of them, and they slowly came closer to each other and realized that they weren't that different. but the other people in their surroundings thought/said it was sick what they did, and just impossible to last. katherine didn't care about what they told them, but elena cared about that. she was afraid of what others thought and even more if something could happen to katherine. so she breaks up with her, eventhough she knows deep in her heart it's a mistake. katherine left in tears can't believe what just happend. while she watches and takes care of her, withouth knowing, elena overthinks all the memories she had with katherine and that it was REAL to them. the way katherine looked at her, the way they danced, and the way she she was thinking and doing things. so elena looks into the mirror again and again and understands that it doesn't matter what others are saying, and goes straight ahead to find katherine and confesses her love to her. finally they're back together and can STAY this way.
