When 14-year-old computer prodigy Rudy Gatewick suddenly inherits the helm of the high-tech powerhouse Zenda, Inc. after his father’s unexpected death, his conniving uncle Michael sees an opportunity to seize control. Michael hires three bumbling thugs to kidnap Rudy, forcing the boy’s loyal protectors, Professor Wooley and Colonel Zapf, to keep the abduction a secret. But hope appears in the most unlikely form: Oliver Gillis, a young baseball player who is Rudy’s exact double. Persuaded to step into Rudy’s world in exchange for a promised job for his unemployed father, Oliver must navigate the treacherous halls of Zenda and the social trials of school, all while the real Rudy struggles to escape his hapless captors in the forest. With a high-stakes shareholders’ meeting and a championship baseball game looming, time is running out—and the fate of both Rudy and Oliver hangs in the balance.
