In this video I am transplanting peppers and tomatoes into bigger pots. If seeds are started early enough, you may need to repot your plants into larger containers before they go out in the garden. Potting up will ensure that your plants have plenty of space, so they can develop strong and healthy root systems. I will show you how to separate and tease apart tangled roots. This might be something you will need to do if you have more than one plant growing in a single container or seed cell. I will also show you how I fertilize my plants using Rabbit Manure Tea, True Organics, and Miracle Gro. You can start fertilizing seedlings after they get their first set of true leaves. Some gardeners do it once per week. Personally, I wait until my plants are four or five weeks old and only fertilize once or twice before they get planted out in the garden. Try different things and do what works for you! Just be aware, you can harm young plants if you fertilize too often or if you don't dilute strong concentrations. High nitrogen fertilizers can easily burn seedlings.
