Mt. Sagpotan and Sumacbao River Adventure - New Hiking destination in Nueva Ecija

Mt. Sagpotan – a long stretching mountain range at the northern part of DRT, Bulacan. Opened just this pandemic period (kind of obvious where it got its name from), Mt. Sagpotan is located near the border dividing Bulacan and Nueva Ecija. The trail towards the upper portions of the mountain is not easy as it is more assault. For this hike, we opted to just stop at Sumacbao River and retrace our steps, backtrailing to Brgy. Cambo

Elevation: 944 MASL
Major jump-off point: Barangay Cambo, DRT. Bulacan
Difficulty: Major climb, 5/9 (Rosary Trail)
Hours Required to Mt. Sagpotan: 2 hours (summit); 5-7 hours (Brgy.Cambo - Sumacbao River)
Features: view of the Central Luzon mountains, river trekking and bouldering
