Today we're going to talk about bentonite clay and aluminum. There is aluminum in bentonite clay, but bentonite clay has been promoted as a great thing to take to help detoxify the body. So, can it cause aluminum toxicity or not?

Bentonite clay is dissolved minerals from volcanic ash and marine environments. It's layers of very thin sheets of minerals. There are many different minerals, but the main two are a combination of silica and aluminum.

Even though there is aluminum in bentonite clay, it is tightly bound with silica, and they're not going to leech out into your body. So, you don't have to worry about getting aluminum poisoning when you take bentonite clay.

The unique thing about bentonite clay over other types of clay is that it has eight times the pull factor or magnetic force to absorb and attract heavy metals, toxins, and other things. It has a very strong negative charge that acts as a magnet for certain things.

Bentonite clay could attach to things like:
• Arsenic
• Lead
• Mercury
• Toxins
• Mold
• Aflatoxins

Bentonite clay could also help decrease bacterial loads, which can be beneficial if someone has an infection. It can be good for people who have IBS. It may also be beneficial for burns or to help with poison ivy.
