Making My Own Negative Rake Scraper - Iroko Handle

Описание к видео Making My Own Negative Rake Scraper - Iroko Handle

In this video I make my own negative rake scraper using a piece of High Speed Steel that is 6x25x200.

I grind a tang onto one end using a 6" wheel grinder before turning a handle from Iroko. Once the steel is glued into the handle I grind a curve onto the end of the blade using the wheel grinder. I then use the Robert Sorby Pro Edge to grind a 25 degree bevel on both sides and sharpen a keen edge starting with 60 grit and moving up to 120.

I hope you enjoy this video and find it instructive.
