(27 Jun 2018) The US National Security Adviser, John Bolton, has defended President Donald Trump's decision to meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
Bolton is currently on a visit to Moscow and said on Wednesday that details of a summit between Putin and Trump would be announced on Thursday.
''I think the President determined that despite the political noise in the United States, that direct communication between him and president Putin was in the interest of the United States, in the interest of Russia, in the interest of peace and security around the world,'' he said.
