Dimmu Borgir - The Sacrilegious Scorn | GUITAR COVER

Hey everyone! Hope you're ready for some heavy stuff, because we're going full Symphonic Black Metal today! That's right, we're ripping through some Dimmu Borgir with their song The Sacrilegious Scorn. This album (In Sorte Diaboli) was my introduction to the band and black metal in general, and what a turning point that was. Just the idea that one could turn a whole orchestra into such brutally heavy yet emotional music was mind blowing. Of course later on I found their earlier stuff like Death Cult Armageddon and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, and had to pick my brains off the floor again. It's like they shoved the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy into the most excellent metal music you can find.

I'm getting distracted here. The video's just a single pass of the main (lead?) guitar with the original tracks turned down (good old lalal.ai). Not a lot of room for effects, just some good old fashioned heavy Swedish metal guitar tones. I know the group is Norwegian, but the Swedish tone is iconic, and TH-U has a bitchin preset for it so that's what happened.
