Shooting with a Polaroid Land Camera and Packfilm

Описание к видео Shooting with a Polaroid Land Camera and Packfilm

I'm Ashley, a photographer and analogue camera enthusiast. This is my first video in what will hopefully be a series of me fumbling through the process of creating photographs with vintage, toy, or novelty cameras and unique or discontinued film.

The Polaroid Land Camera Automatic 100 was an absolute classic from the 1960's. The cameras use instant packfilm (sometimes called peel apart film because of the process of peeling the layers apart after developement, unlike with more modern instant film). This film is no longer being produced by Polaroid or Fuijifilm, so it's difficult and expensive to aquire.

I was really interested in trying out this film format before it's no longer attainable at all. I watched a good number of videos about the Land Camera and packfilm before trying it myself, but it was still a lot more confusing and intimidating than I imagined! I hope this video can give a very raw and realistic account of what it's like to use one of these cameras.
