2x Police car Tokyo Police [pursuit camera]

Two marked police cars of the Tokyo police department responding at night in the busy Roppongi district. Only seconds earlier another police car also passed me. Those units use some kind of mecanical sirens and make PA annoucements to the other drivers. This is very common in Japan, the purpose is to let the people know how they have to react and which way the emergency vehicle is going to take. Filmed out of a taxi with a Sony HDR-CX700 //

Zwei Streifenwagen der Polizei Tokio auf nächtlicher Alarmfahrt im belebten Stadtviertel Roppongi. Kurz zuvor hatte mich bereits ein anderer Streifenwagen überholt. Die Einsatzfahrzeuge nutzen eine Art mechanische Sirene und die Besatzungen machen zwischendurch diverse Durchsagen über die Außenlautsprecher. Dies ist sehr verbreitet in Japan und dient dazu den anderen Verkehrsteilnehmern mitzuteilen wie sie sich zu verhalten haben und in welche Richtung das Einsatzfahrzeug fährt.
