Fox Tor was used to film the movie The Hounds of the Baskervilles a Sherlock Holmes Movie by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this movie has always excited me since I was a child and after watching it during covid I decided to wild camp there.

The Tor in the movie is called Grimpen Mire but is based on Fox Tor where people have actually lost their lives

PLEASE BE ADVISED THIS IS A DANGEROUS HIKE SURROUNDED BY MIRE LAND ALSO KNOWN AS BOG LAND AND SHOULD ONLY BE DONE BY EXPERIENCE HIKERS.

I later checked online the said it's one of the hardest Tor's to hike on Dartmoor
