What is participatory video?

Описание к видео What is participatory video?

A video taking you ‘behind the scenes’ of the Participatory Video process at The Young Foundation.

Participatory Video is a set of techniques designed to help communities create their own films. A variety of games and exercises allow participants to explore themes and topics important to them, all while learning about the process of film making.

The films can be used as an advocacy tool, a way to communicate ideas to other communities or to decision makers and those in power, and a research method to better understand communities and their needs.

“[Participatory Video] was a very positive and alternative and engaging way of learning – very interactive. The process [was] very enjoyable. It incorporates a good style of learning.”’ Member of the Black Heroes Foundation

“I will take power, positivity and hope with me from this experience” Member of Community Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
