The prime minister of the #unitedarabemirates , Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched the Dubai 2040 #urban #masterplan , the ambitious project whose purpose is to guide the #sustainable development of the #emirates city for the next twenty years.

The population of Dubai has increased by 80 times since 1960, while the emirate's urban and constructed area has grown by 170-fold. The plan aims to satisfy #sustainability in urban development all over the emirate and guarantee the best quality of life for all citizens, residents, and visitors as well.
