If you're struggling with plantar fasciitis, I'll show you some band exercises for plantar fasciitis foot pain relief and plantar fasciitis rehab. Plantar fasciitis can sometimes respond well to stretches, but band exercises to strengthen the plantar fascia also very helpful. Plantar fascia rehab is a first-line treatment for plantar fasciitis before seeing a chiropractor, physical therapist, podiatrist, or another provider.

In the video I used a Theraband resistance band to provide resistance to some of my intrinsic foot muscles and lower leg muscles. I also use a lacrosse ball to warm up the plantar fascia and provide some self myofascial release.

Band exercises are an important part of the plantar fasciitis rehab because they create strength in the supporting muscles that are underactive and causing too much tension and demand on the connective tissue plantar fascia.

Sometimes heel spurs (bone spurs on the calcaneus) can mimic plantar fascia pain. You can read how to tell the difference between a heel spur and plantar fasciitis here:

Dry needling can also be effective for plantar fasciitis when it doesn't respond to plantar fascia exercises and stretching alone. I talk about dry needling for plantar fasciitis here:

I recommend using the red or yellow Theraband for the exercise in this video. A night splint for plantar fasciitis can be helpful as well, especially when your plantar fascia really bothers you in the morning when getting out of bed. You may want to use it in addition to the plantar fascia exercises in this video.
