Nutsedges are persistent, hardy weeds that can be difficult to eliminate. If you’re looking to easily get rid of nutsedges from your property, check out Martin’s Nutgrass Eliminator.

Martin’s Nutgrass Eliminator comes in a half ounce packet of dry granules that must be dissolved in water before application. You’ll need to mix this product into a sprayer of your choice. For most small-scale applications, we recommend you use either a handheld pump sprayer or a backpack sprayer.

To calculate the amount of solution you’ll need, calculate your treatment area’s square footage by multiplying the area’s length by its width. 1 gallon of solution is needed to treat 1,000 square feet of treatment area.

Fill your selected sprayer with half a gallon of water, then add in the contents of 1 pouch of Martin’s Nutgrass Eliminator. If you’re treating horsetails, add an additional pouch. Agitate the mixture until the product is fully dispersed, then add the remaining half gallon of water. Close your sprayer, then shake it to ensure an even distribution.

Once your solution is well-mixed, use a fan-spray setting to spray target weeds. Individual weeds can be spot sprayed, but you can also apply a broadcast treatment if your lawn is experiencing heavy weed activity.

Solutions is a small family-owned business, and we rely on referrals from customers like you. So if you liked this how-to guide and when the products work for you, please share and tell your friends and family about us.
