Ice Castles 1978 Music Video/Tribute (The Bad Dreamers - Who You Run To)

A video tribute/music video I made to the 1978 movie Ice Castles starring Lynn-Holly Johnson as Alexis "Lexie" Winston, Robby Benson as Nick Peterson, Colleen Dewhurst as Beulah Smith, and etc.The music is by the band The Bad Dreamers who in my mind when I heard their song I figured it belongs in a love triangle movie from the 80s but instead I set it to this 1978 movie and it seems to work. I discovered the song and the band due to NewRetroWave and here is the link

But here is a brief description:
Alexis "Lexie" Winston is a sixteen-year-old girl from Waverly, Iowa who who is a amateur figure skater who lives with her father and has a boyfriend Nick Peterson. She competes in a skating competition and is discovered by a professional coach who begins to train her. While she is training, her coach arranges media coverage where it goes to her head and begins alienating her boyfriend Nick and starts dating news broadcaster Brian Dockett.
One evening frustrated where her life is heading she goes skating and attempts a difficult jump where she accidentally trips and bumps her head on a metal table where she suffers a blood clot and makes her eyesight blurry.

Lexie and Nick reconcile and begin to retrain Lexie to work with limited sight. They fall in love in love again and in another competition she wins over the crowd but accidentally trips on some roses that were thrown by the crowd. Nick rushes over to Lexie and they embrace as the film ends.

Now the film was made in 1978 and among the story line is that 16 year old Lexie is dating a grown man. Things were different during this time however I do not encourage or support adults dating anyone under the age of 18. However the movie has the character portrayed as being 16 when in reality the actress playing Lexie, Lynn-Holly Johnson was 20 years old when the film was made.


I am not making any money on this, not a dime. I am doing this because I love the music and the movie. I own nothing, the rights go to Columbia Pictures, The Bad Dreamers, NewRetroWave, and etc. The video is a entertainment/educational video to show ice skating and movies of the 1970s.
