I sat down with moral and social psychologist, Jonathan Haidt, to discuss social media's impact on our human psyche and the effects of "coddling the American mind", which is also the name of his book! In this clip we hit on some pretty sensitive subjects, including the idea that social media should be restricted to individuals above a certain age. While a lot of young folks in particular might not like that idea, we do have to recognize the significant impact social media has on mental health in general, and the tremendous impact it can have on young and developing minds. What do you think? Should teenagers not be allowed on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, or anything else until they're 16? 18? Should they have to pass a test and get a social media license like they do a car? What about ID verification on social media?
