Einstein's GR says that spacetime evolves according to the mass and energy present in it. Then, how does the universe as a whole evolve due to all the matter, radiation and stuff we might not even know? This is called Cosmic Dynamics. In this lecture I present the history of Friedmann Equation which governs the evolution of our universe. We also derive it using Newtonian methods and study the life and death of a Newtonian Universe before adjusting to the full-blown relativistic version of Friedmann Equation. Using a little thermodynamics we also develop the fluid equation and from that the acceleration equation, keeping our focus, of course, on building intuition.
