Happy Mother’s Day

This is not my usual kind of video. Normally I hate making anything personal, but I was feeling a lot of feelings and had to let them out.

In an ideal world we’d all have a perfect relationship with our mothers, but it’s not always the case. Sometimes it’s strained or difficult or abusive. Sometimes they’re neglectful or controlling. There’s a lot of pressure (especially in some cultures) to never disobey your parents, and do whatever they want you to do, even to your own detriment. All of that is partly what I’ve felt for so many years, and that’s what I was trying to portray.
