Описание к видео Part One - Meet the Author - "Jadwiga's Crossing" - Olean Public Library

Part One - Meet the Author - "Jadwiga's Crossing" - Olean Public Library - February 2, 2010

"Jadwiga's Crossing," a historic novel written by Richard J. Lutz, is a compelling tale about hardships encountered by a group of poor Polish immigrants, viewed through the eyes of newly weds Paul & Jadwiga Adamik.

Mr. Lutz, a lifelong broadcast journalist and media specialist, worked in commercial and public radio and television in Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin before moving to New York City as a consultant on the nexus of digital technology and mass communications. He holds degrees from The University of Michigan. In retirement, he edits and publishes The Main Street WIRE, the fortnightly newspaper serving the community of Roosevelt Island, New York City.

The Video camera recordings were made by Margaret Fondren and Dale Hartlieb with production assistance of Sharon Hartlieb, Mary DiRisio and Dawn Westfall. Video editing and computer media adaptation by Bill Parks: Stanwrite (at) aol.com.

Here is some technical info on how YouTube picture resolution works: This video was recorded in high definition (HD) - 720p. You may view it in 720p, however, we do not recommend 720p due to sudden pauses -- especially if you do not have very high speed Internet access. It's just fine viewing this video at 480p or even 360p and as a result not have any download interruptions. If your Internet access is not high enough speed, and you still want to view it at 720p, you might have to wait for the entire video to download before viewing in its entirety (i.e. wait until the red line moves across the entire length at the bottom of the screen) and then start the show from the beginning. To save time, you can view this presentation more easily by selecting 360p or 480p. Also, you can select full screen mode in any of the above three resolutions, however, I suggest you sit at least five or more feet from the computer screen just as you would for a regular TV set in full screen mode. Also, if you are a regular viewer of YouTube videos -- it is recommended that you use ear phones which plug into the computer audio output jack to improve sound reception.
