Bun Cha has always been a beloved dish in Vietnam but it got catapulted into global fame when then President Barrack Obama and Anthony Bourdain had it for dinner together. So while in Hanoi, I had to pay tribute to this iconic dish the only way I know how: transforming it into a grilled cheese to see if it could be the Worlds Best Grilled Cheese. For a dish this beloved though I had to take it a bit farther by turning all of the components into grilled cheese.

Check out this video to see if my interpretation of President Obama and Anthony Bourdain’s dinner in Vietnam is worth a permanent seat at Bun Cha Huong Lien… or if I’ll never be allowed back.
