The Fish River Canyon is the second largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon. It lies sprawling massively in the beautiful country of Namibia and the Fish River runs through it. An iconic Southern African hike finds hikers descending into this canyon and travelling for several days along the river route winding along snake-like bends to the final destination, an oasis resort. One of the highlights on the way are boiling hot springs that pour into a cool lake, perfect for a dip, but more than finding the hot springs, these hikers found moments of deep reflection, human connection and battles with the elements that tested their limits.
