X-Plane 11 : LES Saab 340 : Startup Tutorial

Описание к видео X-Plane 11 : LES Saab 340 : Startup Tutorial

The Saab 340 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed by Saab AB and Fairchild Aircraft.

Saab began development of its first major civilian aircraft in 1974, and determined that a short-haul airliner should be optomised to seat around 30 passengers, using an economical turboprop powerplant. The engine selected was the General Electric CT7 DASH 5A2, which was competitive in the short-haul role with the jet engines in service at that time.

When it was introduced in 1984, the Saab 340 became the best selling commuter aircraft in the world, with 460 delivered when production was terminated in 1999. In 2002 Field Aviation were contracted by Saab to produce a freighter version of the 340, and in 2006, as the demand for turboprop-powered airliners increased, Saab leased 25 340s to the Australian operator Regional Express Airlines.
