Longtime college football writer Andy Staples, who is currently with On3, had this to say about Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame hosting Indiana:

”This is a huge spot for Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman, who is finishing season three and still doesn’t have a signature win. This season probably would be considered a disappointment if Notre Dame didn’t advance at least to the quarterfinals. If Notre Dame can beat the Hoosiers, the Irish might provide a tough stylistic matchup for Georgia. But that’s not something anyone in South Bend needs to think about, because (Curt) Cignetti is going to have the Hoosiers ready.”
