2023 Beijing BJ90 in-depth Walkaround

The BAIC BJ90, also known as the Beijing BJ90, is a full-size luxury SUV that has been in production since 2016. The vehicle is based on the second-generation Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, which has been renamed the GLS-Class. This means that the BJ90 inherits the GLS-Class' superior build quality, technology, and design elements, while also bringing its own unique features and characteristics to the table.

Under the hood, the BAIC BJ90 is powered by two high-performance engines - a 3.0T twin-turbocharged V6 engine and a 4.0T twin-turbocharged V8 engine. These engines are coded M276 and M278, respectively, and they deliver maximum power outputs of 333 horsepower and 421 horsepower. They also offer impressive levels of torque, with a maximum of 480 Nm and 600 Nm. Both engines meet the National VI emission standards and are paired with a 9-speed automatic manual gearbox, as well as a four-wheel drive system and active air suspension.

When it comes to body size, the BAIC BJ90 is an impressively large SUV, with dimensions of 5171mm in length, 1995mm in width, and 1860mm in height. It also boasts a wheelbase of 3100mm, which contributes to its stability and handling. Overall, the BJ90 is positioned as a luxury vehicle that offers ample space for passengers and cargo, as well as exceptional performance and features that set it apart from other SUVs in its class.
