🔴 IONIZATION ENTHALPY - Trends in Periodic Table || Chemistry for Class 11 in HINDI

Описание к видео 🔴 IONIZATION ENTHALPY - Trends in Periodic Table || Chemistry for Class 11 in HINDI

In this Chemistry video in Hindi we explained the trend in the ionization enthalpy in periodic table. ionization enthalpy is the energy required to remove an electron from a neutral atom. As we move from left to right in the periodic table the ionization enthalpy, in the same period, increases. And as we move from top to bottom in a group, the ionization enthalpy decreases. When we move from left to right the positive charge in the nucleus increases, hence more energy is required to remove an electron, So the ionization enthalpy increases. When we move down a group, as the principal quantum number increases the electron comes in a new shell, hence less energy is required to remove an electron, So the ionization enthalpy decreases.
We also talked about the first, second and third ionization enthalpies. We discussed how first ionization enthalpy is less than the second ionization enthalpy, which is less than the third ionization enthalpy.
