A comic exploration of office drudgery that takes off into absurd flights of the imagination and dreams of rising above it all. An 9-to-5 comedy with wings, mixing hip hop-influenced eccentric dance, silent acting, circus skills, juggling, acrobatics, and object manipulation. It combines street performance with theatre acting, clowning and slapstick comedy with puppetry and mime.

No longer a character in a Greek myth, Icarus is now an office worker. But what happens if in the middle of stamping papers, filing folders and dealing with his irritating boss he discovers who he really is?

This show features physical comedian Joe Dieffenbacher. His solo shows have been featured at top festivals in Europe and the UK, in Asia and North America. He’s collaborated with British pop sensations, Take That and was featured in the 2012 London Olympics. He was Director of Clown Conservatory at the Circus Center in San Francisco, Circus Skills Director at the Scottish National Opera in Glasgow, Physical Theatre Director at Shakespeare’s Globe and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, both in London.
